| Global Primary February 5th |
admin writes, "Democrats living abroad may vote in their party's February 5 - 12, 2008, Global Presidential Primary - the first ever online, worldwide US election. If you want to vote on-line, you must register by January 31, 2008, at www.VoteFromAbroad.org."
|
Then you must join DemsAbroad so that you can vote on-line, by mail or by fax in person (bring your passport for ID) at La Nueva Posada, Ajijic, on February 5th, 2008.
Why participate in the Dems Abroad primary? First, if you come from a caucus state, you cannot participate in your own state because you are not physically there to participate in the caucus. Second, increasingly the overseas population is growing and new legislation is being passed that affects those of us living abroad. By building a larger 'voice' we have a chance of influencing the legislation that affects us.
The Democratic Global Primary is open to any US citizen living overseas who will be 18 years of age by November 4, 2008, and who has joined Democrats Abroad. There are no membership fees.
Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at the La Nueva Posada, Ajijic. Everyone is welcome!
